Our goal: build a tool that’s simple, powerful, and truly enjoyable to use, all within a 7-day sprint.
Designing the Kanban Experience
At the heart of FreelanceKit is a Kanban board that’s not just functional, but a joy to use. We obsessed over every detail of the drag-and-drop experience, ensuring it felt smooth, responsive, and even a little bit fun. Columns are fully customizable, so every freelancer can shape their workflow.

FreelanceKit was built with a modern, fullstack, and serverless architecture. Next.js 14 and TypeScript provided rapid development and type safety, while Tailwind CSS enabled fast, consistent UI work. Supabase handled real-time data and authentication, and Vercel made deployment seamless. This stack allowed us to focus on user experience and deliver a robust MVP in record time.
FreelanceKit Vision: Beyond the MVP
FreelanceKit isn't just about project management. The long-term vision is to empower freelancers with a complete business toolkit:

Building the Waiting List
To validate the idea and capture early interest, I also built a dedicated landing page for FreelanceKit. This page introduced the core value proposition and allowed freelancers to join a waiting list for early access. The result? Immediate signups and valuable feedback, even before the MVP was fully launched.
Results & User Feedback
In just one week, FreelanceKit went from idea to a fully functional MVP. The feedback was instant: freelancers loved the simplicity, the speed, and the feeling of control. The Kanban board, in particular, was called out as “incredibly smooth, similar to Trello but simpler.”
